TelePortUs™Our commitment to making telehealth work for everyone
Last updated: August 2026
TelePortUs™ is a Canadian telehealth platform. We believe access to care should never depend on a person's abilities. This statement explains our accessibility commitment, what we have implemented, and how to reach us with feedback.
TelePortUs™ is committed to making our telehealth platform accessible to everyone, including persons with disabilities. We design, build, and test to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA, and we continuously improve our platform based on feedback from people with lived experience of disability. Accessibility is not an afterthought — it is part of how we build healthcare software.
An accessible anti-bot security check (no visual puzzles, no timed challenges — a clearly-labelled question that works with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation).
Provider registration fields for license numbers and regulatory bodies (e.g. BCCSW, BCCNM, CPBC) with proper labels, hints, and French translations.
Skip-to-content navigation, logical heading order, and visible keyboard focus on every page.
Labelled form fields with autocomplete hints and announced error messages.
Color contrast meeting 4.5:1 minimum on all text, and touch targets sized for easy use on phones and tablets.
End-to-end keyboard operability across the client join flow, waiting room, and video call controls.
Every interactive element can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone. Forms have proper labels and instructions, radio groups and checkboxes are announced correctly, and nothing requires a mouse, a swipe, or precise timing. We support screen readers including VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), NVDA and JAWS (Windows), and TalkBack (Android).
TelePortUs™ works on phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers across operating systems — including privacy-focused browsers such as Firefox, Brave, and GrapheneOS. We do not depend on third-party content delivery networks, so our accessibility features work even in locked-down or privacy-hardened environments. The smallest supported screen is 320px wide.
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We run automated accessibility audits (axe-core) on every public page as part of our release process, and we fix critical and serious issues before they ship. We continue to add automated checks across more of the platform.
We welcome your feedback — whether something is working well, or you found a barrier. Please tell us about any page, feature, or task you could not complete, and we will prioritize fixing it.

We aim to respond within 2 business days, and to provide an accessible alternative (e.g. a phone call or email walkthrough) to anyone who needs one.
